A Japanese inlaid wood tonkotsu (tobacco box), Meiji period, of oval form, the sides and cover inlaid with crabs and a blossoming branch, one side with carved signature plaque, height 6cm, length 9cm, the drawstring fitted with signed ojime, and a carved and pierced stained ivory circular netsuke, diameter 4cm, together with a Japanese Shibayama inlaid ivory rectangular coin box and cover, length 4.7cm.
