(Repairs to title of volume 1, tear to half-title with chipping, some finger-marks and occasional creasing to preliminaries, volumes 6 part I and II, volume 7 part II and volume 8 part II lacking half-titles as issued.) Original publisher's deluxe plum half-morocco covers, gilt titling to spine (cloth reinforcement to hinges, rubbing to extremities, some fading and staining). Provenance: Worthing Library (bookplates to most pastedowns, stamps to margins) (21).
