Mount Lebanon, a Ten Years' Residence from 1842 to 1852 Describing the Manners, Customs, and Religion of its Inhabitants with a Full & Correct Account of the Druse Religion. London: Saunders and Otley, 1853. 3 vols., first edition, 8vo (220 x 146mm.) 6 lithographed plates, including 3 tinted, 1 large folding map. (Volume 1 with text-block cracked in several places, detached from covers and several loose leaves and tape repairs, stamps on all preliminaries, toning, six inch tear to map.) Original maroon blind-stamped cloth, gilt lettering to spines (sunning to spines, reference numbers inked to spines, some loss to spine ends). Note: 'an important work, rare', Blackmer. Provenance: New Brunswick Theological Seminary Library (stamps to titles). [Blackmer, 353.]
