Reprint, signed and inscribed by the author on the front-free endpaper, 8vo (189 x 121mm.) Folding map, 47 plates, numerous illustrations within the text, 55pp. publisher's advertisements to rear. (Toning, spotting to preliminaries.) Original green cloth, pictorial gilt and lettering to spine (rubbing to extremities). Provenance: Lady Mary Skrine (inscribed to by the author). - And three related volumes including a further volume by Samuel W. Baker ('The Nile Tributaries', 1867, 8vo) (4).
