SCOTTISH BINDINGS. The Holy Bible Containing the Old and New Testaments, Newly Translated out of the Original Tongues, and with the former Translations Diligently Compared and Revised. Edinburgh: Adrian Watkins, 1752. 12mo (133 x 69mm.) Title, OT only, with 'The Book of Psalms', blank leaves to front and rear, a later printed floral design to pastedowns, pagination ends at Ee6. (Marginal loss to front-free endpaper, toning.) Contemporary red morocco, fillet ruled within hound's tooth borders and deeply infilled with interlocking gilt lozenges and floral tooling, g.e. (minor loss to extremities). - And a further bound volume ('The Book of Common Prayer' published by Alexander Kincaid, 1759, 12mo) (2).
