An impressive pair of Chinese blue and crackle glazed porcelain vases, late Qing dynasty, each of baluster form with flared neck, the blue glazed body and neck moulded in low relief and painted with playful Buddhistic lion cubs, brocade balls and vapours, the shoulder with white crackled bands and iron oxide foliate collars flanked by a pair of mask and tongue handles, height 60cm (one with repair to rim and handle, chip to iron oxide collar and crack to body).
