A Japanese Satsuma earthenware dish by Gokasai Katsujoshi, Meiji period, of scallop shell moulded form, painted and gilt with a procession of rakan crossing a bridge, above a moulded leaf rim filled with insects and a frog, lengthy gilt and iron red signature to base, length 18cm (two firing cracks to rim).
