A late 18th century Continental silver and mother-of-pearl snuff box of cartouche form, decorated to the cover with Cupid playing a pipe to a dancing dog, the base with two lovebirds, within stylized foliate detail, the hinged lid decorated to the interior with a glazed painting of a male and female musician, length 6.5cm.
