LOT 1165
An early 19th century large mahogany circular drop dial wall timepiece with brass four pillar eight day single fusee movement, the 17-inch painted wood dial with black Roman hour numerals and indistinctly inscribed 'Dwerrihouse & Carter London', within a moulded circular surround with cast brass bezel, the apron with hinged door, diameter 50cm, with pendulum and winding key and case keys (faults). Note: Dwerrihouse & Carter are recorded in 'Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World' by Brian Loomes as working in London between 1802 and 1823.
