LOT 1114
An early 19th century mahogany circular wall timepiece with brass eight day single fusee movement, the 12-inch painted convex dial with black Roman hour numerals and inscribed 'WM Burch Maidstone', within a moulded circular surround with brass bezel and convex glass, the case box with hinged doors to side and underside, diameter 36.5cm (lacking pendulum). Note: William Burch is recorded in 'Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World' by Brian Loomes as a clockmaker working in Maidstone between 1795 and 1813.
