LOT 1108
An early 19th century mahogany circular wall timepiece with brass eight day single fusee movement, the 13½-inch silvered convex dial with black Roman hour numerals and inscribed 'A. Meyer Bristol', within a moulded circular surround with cast brass bezel and convex glass, the case with hinged doors to side and underside, case diameter 38cm, with pendulum. Note: Anthony Meyer is recorded in 'Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World' by Brian Loomes as working in Bristol between 1815 and 1834.
