AUTOGRAPHS. A 7 line hand-written letter by George Bernard Shaw on 'Queen's Hotel, Manchester' headed writing paper, dated Dec 1918, 20.5cm x 12cm, Shaw writes 'Dear Madam, All my election readings are in the provinces. I presume you do not wish to travel a hundred miles to see me'. He goes on to say that he might be speaking for Dr. Haden-Guest in London at a future date, together with a further 35 line letter, typed and signed by J.B. Priestley regarding objections to his distaste for semi-detached houses which 'make London so big it takes a day to get out of it'.
