A rare Chinese blue and white peach-form porcelain ewer, Transitional period, mid-17th century, the peach shaped body painted in vibrant shades of blue with two peaches and leafy branches to each side, surmounted with a hexagonal mouth, flanked by leafy branch moulded scroll handle and upright scroll spout, height 18.5cm (spout repaired and hairlines to neck). Note: a similar smaller example was sold by Christie's New York, 14-15 September 2017, Lot 1186.
