A Chinese famille rose porcelain saucer dish, mark of Daoguang and probably of the period, finely painted with a pavilion and walled garden surrounded by trees, rocks, lotus pond and other plants, the pavilion inhabited by a female dignitary and her attendant, as a guard patrols the garden, all beneath polychrome vapours on a gilt ground, the turquoise glazed underside framing a red enamelled seal mark to base, diameter 24.5cm (minor hairline to rim).
