A rare Chamberlains Worcester spiral-fluted or shanked spill or potpourri vase, liner and cover, circa 1795, of flattened baluster shape richly enamelled and gilded with a Japan pattern, flanked by shaped gilt enriched handles on an integral oval foot and canted corner rectangular base, the removable liner pierced with fourteen holes, domed cover, unmarked, height 20cm (faults to liner). Note: a similar shaped vase is illustrated by Geoffrey Godden 'Chamberlain-Worcester Porcelain 1788-1852', plate XXII.
