A Dutch Delft charger, mid-18th century, polychrome painted in chinoiserie style with a central figure in a garden, the rim with six blue edged floral panels, the underside rim with blue painted geometric motifs, diameter 30.7cm, together with a Dutch Delft plate polychrome painted with a bird amidst flowers and foliage, diameter 22.5cm. Provenance: from the collection of the late Professor Maurice Stacey.
