An Hispano Moresque (Narbonne) maiolica albarello, probably 17th century, of waisted cylindrical form, painted in pale lustre against a cream ground with an inscribed shield surrounded by scrolling tendrils, opposing two geometric panels of stylized leaves, height 28cm (minor faults). Provenance: from the collection of the late Professor Maurice Stacey.
