LOT 1258
A pair of Italian maiolica small berettino albarelli or pill jars, Faenza, mid-18th century, both of waisted form, inscribed 'SEM:DI:IVSQV' and 'SEM:D:AMEOS' within painted labels against a ground of flowers and foliage picked out in yellow and ochre, each with scattered insects, the first with two cockerels too, height 14cm (minor chips). Provenance: from the collection of the late Professor Maurice Stacey.
