BINDINGS. - Alexander DUMAS. [The Novels.] London: George Routledge & Sons., [circa 1884.] 14 vols. (only). 8vo (186 x 125mm.) Numerous plates. (Browning to preliminaries.) Near contemporary brown half calf over marbled paper-covered boards, red and green lettering pieces to the second and fourth compartments of the spines, foliate gilt design to the rest (slight fading, light rubbing). Provenance: Harold Byers (name inscribed to initial blanks). - And a further set of bindings ('The Pictorial Edition of the Works of Shakespeare' edited by Charles Knight, bound by J. & E. Bumpus, 8 vols., [circa 1843], 8vo) (22).
