LOT 1180
An early 19th century mahogany longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the cast iron false plate stamped 'W. Francis', the painted breakarch dial with rolling moon to arch above Roman hour numerals and subsidiary seconds and date dials, inscribed 'Thorp Bath', cornered with painted allegorical figures emblematic of the four seasons, the arched hood with three ebonized finials above a fluted frieze, glazed door and fluted columns, the rectangular trunk door with ebony stringing, on a similarly decorated base and bracket feet, height 228cm, with pendulum and two weights.
