A late 19th century Black Forest cased walnut mantel clock with French eight day movement striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the backplate stamped with Japy Frères maker's mark, the dial with applied enamel hour plaques and blue Roman numerals, the case carved in high relief with a strutting cockerel surmount standing upon a wheatsheaf and coopered barrel resting on a table with chicken, chick and rocks below, height 40cm, with pendulum.
