[SYMINGTON, Noel Howard.] 'WHIPPLESNAITH'. The Night Climbers of Cambridge. London: Chatto and Windus, 1937. First edition, second impression, 8vo (223 x 134mm.) Numerous photographic illustrations. (Toning to margins.) Original black cloth, blue titling to spine (slight spine lean, fading to titling, rubbing to spine ends). Note: possibly an early inspiration for 'buildering' or 'parkour', this cult classic by 'Whipplesnaith', a student of King's College, is an account of the night-time climbing of Cambridge Colleges. Provenance: E.H Sandheimel (name inscribed to front-free endpaper). - And a further twenty-seven volumes of miscellaneous books (including Steve Smith's 'Selected Poems', 1961, 8vo) (28).
