Brotherton; Lockyer and Charles Reymers, 1705-1756. 10 vols. in 11, mixed editions, 4to (232 x 171mm.) 317 engraved folding plates, including maps and plans. (Some volumes lacking titles and preliminaries, corner creasing, browning, spotting, lacking plate 13 from volume 2 and plate 3 from Part II of volume 3.) Contemporary calf (lacking all covers, but for volume 2). Note: volume 1, 1749; volume 2, 1705; volumes 3-5 [n.d.]; volume 6, 1734; volume 7, 1734; volume 8, 1747; volume 9 [n.d.]; volume 10, 1756; volume 10 part III, [n.d.]. Includes the map 'A Passage by Land to California' by Eusebio Kino, in volume 5, proving that California was not an island. - And a further copy of volume two (1749, 4to) (12).
