PHOTOGRAPHS. Two albums containing over 1400 mounted black and white photographs, mostly small format and some trimmed, showing the life and travels of Miss D.I. Hoddinott between the years 1920-3, leaves 25cm x 38.5cm, the photos depict scenes from Sussex, Ireland, Wales, Oxford, Cambridge, Paris and Germany, plus a few of Africa, very many of them showing her friends, family or pets. The photos are all annotated, sometimes extensively ('Eiffel Tower, 984 ft high (300m), the tallest structure in the world'), but overall these albums are the story of female friendships during this period, together with a few glass negatives.
