A Japanese Satsuma earthenware wine pot and cover, Meiji period, the baluster body painted and gilt with opposing figural scenes of samurai, bijin and attendants reserved against a simulated brocade ground, gilt and black signature beneath red and gilt Shimazu mon to base, height 12cm.
