A Chinese Longquan celadon glazed and biscuit stoneware figure of Guanyin, Ming dynasty modelled seated wearing a long robe, her face with iron oxide washed detail, height 16.9cm (firing crack to base). Note: a group of similar figures are illustrated by the South-east Asian Ceramic Society in 'Chinese Celadons and Other Related Wares in South-east Asia' 1979, pages 228 and 229, plates 165-168.
