A creamware Spode cream pail and cover, early 19th century, the U-shaped body enamelled with bands of green and iron red leaves with blue forget-me-not flowers, flanked by naturalistic crabstock handles, the cover with recumbent cow finial, black painted '1141' to base, height 39cm (faults). Note: a similar example was sold in these rooms 11 June 1998, Lot 256.
