A Meissen porcelain Academic period teacup and saucer, circa 1770, rib moulded and painted in purpurmalerei with chrysanthemums issuing from a banded hedge beneath a rim of gilt heightened floral mons, crossed swords in underglaze blue to bases with dot, diameter of saucer 13.4cm (minor wear).
