Third edition, oblong 4to (217 x 269mm.) 16 engraved plates relating to astronomy and astronomical instruments, 1 folding. (Browning to margins, several with crease 'folds'.) Contemporary half-calf (rubbing to spine and extremities). Note: volume 4 is titled 'An Introduction to Practical Astronomy'. Provenance: W. Russell Button (bookplate to the front pastedown).
