LOT 1210
A George III figured mahogany longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the 13-inch brass breakarch dial with silvered centre, engraved with two exotic birds and sailing ship, subsidiary seconds and date dials, framed by a silvered chapter ring with black Roman hours and outer Arabic minutes, cornered by cast and pierced gilt spandrels, the arch with rolling moon and inscribed 'I.B. Booth, Manchester', the hood with swan neck pediment, boxwood stringing, fluted columns and glazed door, the trunk with three inlaid oval paterae above a triple arched door flanked by cluster columns, on an inlaid base with cut corners and ogee bracket feet, height 235.5cm, with pendulum, two weights and a winder.
