A third pattern Fairbairn Sykes fighting knife with straight double-edged blade, blade length 17.5cm, oval crosspiece and banded alloy grip with all-over black finish, with leather sheath. Provenance: by family repute, this knife formerly belonged to Reginald Hefford, who participated in the parachute drops at Arnhem.
