LOT 2100
An impressive Regency mahogany revolving library table, after a design by Thomas Sheraton and possibly manufactured by Gillows of Lancaster, the circular top inset with a gilt-tooled black leather writing surface above a frieze of four drawers and four dummy drawers, all fitted with gilt bronze lion mask handles, the square section pedestal fitted with a cupboard and cornered by projecting pilasters, carved with bellflower pendants, each issuing a scrolling support, raised on carved crocodile feet, the underside bearing label detailed 'Waring & Gillow Ltd, 180 Oxford Street, Removal and Warehousing Dept', height 81cm, diameter 177cm.
