A mid-19th century French brass mounted black marble mantel clock with eight day movement striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and inscribed 'Leroy et Fils Hrs de Roi à Paris', the case surmounted with a brown patinated bronze figure of a seated classical figure and eagle, the cut cornered black marble plinth inscribed 'Time Passes Eternity Approaches', the base with scroll apron and feet, height 59cm, with pendulum.
