An early 19th century finely carved coconut bugbear powder flask of Napoleonic interest, one end typically worked with a mask with inset glass eyes and fitted with a silver collar and cap, one side with a central profile portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte below an eagle with outstretched wings, the other side with a swan and fruit spray, all above a band of acanthus leaves and eagles, applied with a thick silver carrying chain, height 12cm.
