An impressive Japanese Kutani porcelain koro and cover, Meiji period, modelled as a caparisoned elephant, standing four square, decorated with colourful trappings and draped in a saddle cloth, finely painted and gilt with foliate panels and moulded with a pair of opposing shishi mask, surmounted with a galleried stand and pierced square cover with flaming pearl finial, total height 49cm (restoration).
