Eric Gill A.R.A. - a Hopton Wood stone devotional niche, carved in the Ditchling workshop, the arched niche painted in pale blue above a green painted ledge with shaped front, the separate protruding shelf with a moulded edge, total height 38cm, width 15cm. Provenance: removed from Woodbarton, Ditchling, East Sussex, the house designed by Eric Gill for his associate Desmond Chute.
