An Edwardian inlaid mahogany longcase clock with eight day movement chiming on eight bells and striking on a gong, the brass breakarch dial with silvered 'Chime/Silent' indicator to arch above a silvered chapter ring with Roman hours and outer Arabic minutes, inscribed 'George Fox & Co Southport', framing a matt centre with silvered subsidiary seconds, all cornered with cast and pierced gilt mask and scroll spandrels, the hood with brass ball finial and swan neck pediment above a pair of Corinthian columns, glazed door and pierced fret panels to sides, the trunk with Corinthian corner columns flanking an arched door with finely inlaid urns, swags and arabesques, repeated on the base, raised on bracket feet, height 251cm, with pendulum, three weights and winder.
