A large Victorian gilt-tooled red leather governmental dispatch box, the hinged lid with central Royal coat of arms flanked by crowned 'V.R.' cyphers, all four sides similarly tooled with crowned 'V.R.' cyphers, all within a foliate border, the sides fitted with gilt bronze drop handles, the green leather-lined interior revealing the lock plate, inscribed 'S. Mordan & Co', height 26.5cm, width 53.5cm, depth 36cm.
