SHELLEY, Mary. - Frederic Mansel REYNOLDS (editor). The Keepsake for MDCCCXXXI. London: Hurst, Chance & Co., 1831. 8vo (197 x 116mm.) 16 engraved plates by J.M.W. Turner, Prout, Bonnington, Chalon et al. (Spotting to plate margins, some browning.) Contemporary red morocco, gilt lettering to spine, g.e. (some surface wear). Note: contains three short stories by Mary Shelley, 'Transformation', 'A Dirge' and 'The Swiss Peasant'. In the table of contents she is referred to as the 'Author of Frankenstein'. - And four further volumes (5).
