LOWER, Mark Antony. A Survey of the Coast of Sussex, made in 1587, with a View to its Defence Against Foreign Invasion, and Especially Against the Spanish Armada. Lewes: W.E. Baxter, 1870. Oblong 4to (268 x 357mm.) 5 folding plates. (Spotting to preliminaries, browning.) Original half-calf over brown cloth boards, gilt lettering to upper cover (rubbing to extremities). Provenance: Percy William Pegge (bookplate to the front); Jean Morris (ink name to front-free endpaper). - And three further volumes (including Mrs Louden's 'British Wild Flowers', 1848, 4to) (4).
