Folio (466 x 327mm.) Title with engraved vignette, list of painters, 50 engraved plates of self-portraits of painters. (Occasional browning to margins.) Contemporary half-calf (boards detached, spine lacking). Note: most engravings by Campiglio and Ferrati, including self-portraits of Leonardo da Vinci, Durer, Cranach, Holbein, Caracci, Rubens, Rossi and Bandinelli.
