AUSTEN, Jane. Two Chapters of Persuasion, printed from Jane Austen's Autograph. Oxford: at the Clarendon Press, 1926. 8vo (179 x 112mm.) 2pp. facsimile of Austen handwriting, the extra paper label to rear. (Mild toning.) Original cloth-backed blue boards, paper label to spine, glassine dust-jacket. Note: comprises chapter 10 and 11 of 'Persuasion' as originally written. Later, Austen cancelled most of Chapter 10, replaced it with two new chapters with the original chapter 11 becoming chapter 12. Provenance: Brookes Friebolin (bookplate and ink name to front pastedown). - And three further volumes by Jane Austen (including 'Lady Susan', 1925, 8vo) (4).
