A Charles II stumpwork, silkwork and tortoiseshell framed dressing table box, the hinged lid depicting the biblical scene of the Sacrifice of Isaac, Abraham standing with a sword aloft, a ram to one side, within a raised ribboned border, the corners with stumpwork lion, leopard, parrot and another bird, the sides with embroidered silk and gilt thread chenille foliage, raised on four carved giltwood feet with cherub head apron, the interior with elements of original lining and some later fitted pink silk covered panels, height 23cm, width 43cm, depth 33cm (some faults and restoration).
