A large Massier Vallauris French majolica pottery wishing well, circa 1880, modelled as a rustic brickwork well surmounted by and surrounded by birds, raised on a naturalistic base, the overhead arch supporting a pulley mounted with a bucket on a chain, suspended above a removable metal liner, indistinct moulded monogram mark to side edge, height 44cm (one bird re-glued into position).
