A Japanese Imari porcelain bottle vase, early 18th century, the ovoid body painted in iron red and gilt with floral roundels, reserved against a blue whorl ground filled with sparrows and flowerheads, the slender neck with gilt and red foliate decoration, height 25cm (neck restored), together with a Japanese blue and white saucer dish, 18th century, painted with bamboo and foliage, underglaze blue four character mark to base, diameter 19.5cm.
