A Japanese carved and stained ivory zushi (portable shrine), Meiji/Taisho period, the roof top carved in relief with overlapping lotus leaves, the hinged doors, back and sides carved in low relief with mythical scenes of figures in landscapes, the interior displaying a standing Kannon, raised on a rectangular base with shaped apron and bracket feet, unsigned, height 25.5cm.
