A Chinese famille rose enamelled turquoise ground porcelain bowl, mark of Daoguang and probably of the period, of quatrelobed oval form, the exterior enamelled with a repeated design of lotus, scrolling tendrils, bats and gilt characters beneath a yellow and pink ruyi head border, iron red painted seal mark to base, length 19cm (repaired chip to rim).
