LOT 2012
An 18th century Japanese lacquered and brass bound collector's cabinet, the exterior decorated in gilt with stylized clouds, birds, flowers, rabbits and two cockerels, the two doors hinged to reveal an arrangement of seven drawers, raised on an associated 18th century silvered wood and gesso stand, the central pierced apron carved in high relief with a pair of cherubs supporting a floral cartouche, the downswept cabriole legs modelled with flowerheads and scrolls, height 133cm, width 62cm, depth 42cm (some faults).
