AUSTIN, Alfred. The Garden that I Love. London: Macmillan and Co., 1894. First edition, signed and inscribed by Alfred Austin, 8vo (206 x 131mm.) Numerous illustrations. (Browning). Original green cloth, gilt shrubbery to upper cover (sunning to spine). Note: Alfred Austin was appointed poet laureate in 1896 after the death of Tennyson. He is now better known for his works on nature. Provenance: Robert Pepys Cockerill (gift inscribed on flyleaf).
