(Damp-stain from A1 to C2 and to some rear leaves, browning, some red (ink?) on M1 and T1, Latin annotation to 8[8], moderate spotting). 16th century vellum, ink lettering to spine (minor soiling). Note: published one year after the 'December 1501' Aldus publication, this a first issue of the Lyons counterfeit editions. It has the signature 'H3' where 'I3' should be and the separated words 'se posita' in the penultimate line of A2, and 'Amphiteatrum' in the headline.
